Court hands Grayscale win in long-running suit against SEC

In a remarkable victory that echoed through the crypto canopy, Grayscale Investments won its case against the SEC over a spot bitcoin ETF. This court decision sent Bitcoin’s price soaring like a parrot taking flight, climbing 5.4% to $27,450.

The court chided the SEC for its inconsistent approach to spot bitcoin ETFs and bitcoin futures ETFs, branding their refusal of Grayscale’s proposal as ‘arbitrary and capricious’. This ruling could have far-reaching implications for other beasts prowling the crypto jungle, such as BlackRock and Fidelity.

With 45 days for the SEC to request a rehearing with all three judges, the jungle waits in suspense for the next move. Will we see the conversion of GBTC into an ETF or will the SEC find new grounds for denial?

Grayscale roared its approval of this ruling, celebrating it as a monumental step forward for the Bitcoin ecosystem and American investors.
